HEART OF FLORIDA BARBERSHOP CHORUS is FLs largest male acapella group of "barbershoppers". Activities include weekly meetings, practice, & appearances throughout the year to benefit & uplift the community through music. A non-profit organization, the group annually raises money to fund expenses through its Singing Valentines Program. Open to all of The Villages & other area residents.
Meetings held every week on Thursday, 6:30pm, at North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake, FL. Membership is open to area residents who enjoy singing acapella, barbershop harmony style.
We are a club that is meant for anyone who enjoys classical music. Whether you are a novice or an aficionado. Come join us at our weekly meetings to listen to guest speakers, internationally renowned musicians, noted vocalists, music appreciation discussions, demonstrations, & more. We enjoy open talks during our meetings to share our love & personal insight for music.
The Villages String Orchestra. We are looking for violin, viola, cello, and double bass players that can read and play at least level three music. We rehearse every Tuesday at Laurel Manor from 9:00am-11:00am.
We have no dues. We are just a club for people who want to sing with others and not be drowned out by accompaniment. We display lyrics of familiar songs on a large screen and then sing the tunes together.
Our goal is to have fun singing . . . and we do.
