The Villages Lake Sumter Landing Square is fashioned after a long ago Victorian seaside town. Each building is decorated in cheerful seaside colors & ornate gingerbread trim. Stroll along the boardwalk, take a boat ride, dine off the water, or dance on the square to live entertainment. Shopping & restaurants abound.
At the back edge of this Villages Town Square, you will find a little playground for the kids. They will enjoy playing captain in the miniature boat & swinging to their hearts content. Parents can relax on comfortable benches. There is even a covered pagoda to enjoy a lunch or snacks in when it is time to take a break.
At night, live entertainment at Lake Sumter Landing is featured in the center pagoda on this Villages town square from 5:pm to 9:pm.
Spanish Springs Town Square, in The Villages Florida, is thought to be the original town square. But, it actually is the 2nd. The first square was much smaller & located on the other side of the road. It is fashioned after an old Santa Fe town from an era gone by. There is even a Fountain of Youth to toss a coin into.
This Villages town square has plenty of stores to shop in & new dining experiences to tempt your taste buds. In the eventing, nightly live entertainment takes place in the center of the square under the pagoda.
Katie Belles Restaurant, only open to those with a current Villages ID card, can also be found on this square. Also, the non-denominational Villages Church on the Square can be found here to just across the street.
