The Deep Sea Fishing Club (The Club) was established in December 1995. Currently there are over 300 members. The purpose of The Club is to provide its members with the opportunity to participate in the many, varied activities of saltwater fishing available to us in a safe, legal, and skilled manner, at a reasonable cost, to encourage sociability while enhancing camaraderie of those interested in fishing; and to share skills, talents, and knowledge of fishing in promoting good sportsmanship while protecting the environment. Membership is restricted to Village residents only. The Club offers all kinds of saltwater fishing: Atlantic Ocean charter trips, "flats" fishing in the Gulf, deep sea fishing in the Atlantic and Gulf waters, pier fishing and any other type that may arise.

The Villages Deep Sea Fishing Club meets the first Saturday of every month at 9:00 AM at the Paradise Club, Judy Garland Room. Coffee and donuts are usually served during the winter months. The upcoming fishing trips are presented and other fishing information is discussed.
